Atelier Molly is Molly, in Stockholm, making art prints for ordinary walls. The shop opened in August 2026. The person who chooses the motifs is the person who answers the email.
It is built around one idea: that most rooms do not need another loud thing in them. The motifs here are quiet — a bowl of matcha, an olive branch, a coastal road, a coffee cup caught in morning light. They are made to sit in a room for years without demanding anything, and to look like they were chosen rather than ordered.
How a poster gets made
Each design is made at 5:7 and prepared at 300 dpi, which is the proportion of a 50 × 70 cm print. That means every size in the shop is the same picture, properly composed, rather than a crop of one.
Nothing is printed until somebody orders it. There is no warehouse of unsold posters here, and no print run that has to be guessed in advance and discounted later.
Printed near you
When you order, the file goes to a press near your address rather than being posted from Stockholm. A poster bought in Berlin is printed in Germany, one bought in New York is printed in the United States, one bought here is printed in Sweden.
The printing is done by Gelato, which runs presses in more than thirty countries. It arrives faster that way, and it travels a fraction of the distance it would otherwise. Print-on-demand gets a bad name for thin paper and long waits; this is the version of it that does not deserve one.
The paper
170 gsm uncoated matte, pigment inks. Slightly textured, no shine. No glare, which matters for motifs built out of light in the first place.
